Instructions

  1. Measure one cup of filtered water into a medium-sized saucepan and place it over medium heat.
  2. While water heats, squeeze fresh lemon juice into a small bowl and measure exactly three tablespoons.
  3. Gather gelatin powder, ginger powder, turmeric powder, and black pepper in separate small bowls.
  4. Set one tablespoon of raw honey within reach of your cooking station.
  5. Once water reaches a gentle simmer, remove it from heat and let it cool for about two minutes.
  6. Sprinkle two tablespoons of unflavored gelatin powder over the warm water while stirring constantly with a whisk.
  7. Continue stirring for three full minutes until the gelatin dissolves completely.
  8. Add the fresh lemon juice and stir steadily to distribute it evenly.
  9. Add one teaspoon of ginger powder and stir thoroughly for thirty seconds.
  10. Add one-half teaspoon of turmeric powder and stir for another thirty seconds.
  11. Sprinkle in one-quarter teaspoon of freshly ground black pepper and stir until evenly distributed.
  12. Add the raw honey and stir for two minutes until fully dissolved.
  13. Pour the mixture through a fine-mesh strainer into a glass measuring cup.
  14. Divide the strained mixture evenly among six to eight glass serving containers.
  15. Allow the containers to cool to room temperature for about fifteen minutes.
  16. Cover with lids and refrigerate for at least four hours until firm and spoonable.

Notes

Use water between 160°F and 180°F when dissolving gelatin. Avoid boiling water, stir constantly to prevent clumps, use fresh lemon juice for best flavor, and refrigerate for the full setting time. Store in airtight glass containers in the refrigerator for up to 7 days.
