Ingredients
4 taco shells
1 lb (450g) ground beef
1/2 cup relish
1/4 cup ketchup
1 tbsp Dijon mustard
2 tbsp white vinegar
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp paprika
8 oz (225g) shredded cheddar cheese
4 oz (113g) chopped iceberg lettuce
4 slices dill pickles
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
Preheat a skillet to medium-high heat
Brown ground beef with onions, seasoning with salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, and paprika until no pink remains
Discard excess fat, then mix in ketchup and Dijon mustard
Combine relish, vinegar, and white vinegar in a bowl to make the special sauce
Warm taco shells in the oven
Add a spoon of cooked beef to each shell
Top with a slice of melted cheese, chopped lettuce, pickle slices, and 1 tablespoon of special sauce
Optional: Add extra sauce and shredded lettuce for dipping
Notes
Cook beef to 160°F for food safety
Use halal-certified beef and cheese for strict dietary compliance
Taco shells can be hard or soft based on preference
Make double the special sauce if serving as a dip
