Ingredients
4 salmon fillets (6 oz each)
3 tablespoons olive oil
3 cloves garlic, minced
3 tablespoons honey
2 tablespoons soy sauce (low sodium preferred)
1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
1 teaspoon ground ginger
1 tablespoon cornstarch, mixed with 1 tablespoon water (for thickening)
1 tablespoon sesame seeds (optional, for garnish)
Chopped green onions or fresh dill, for garnish
Instructions
Preheat a nonstick skillet over medium heat and add olive oil.
Place salmon fillets in the skillet and season both sides with a pinch of salt and pepper.
Sear salmon for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden.
In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, garlic, apple cider vinegar, and ground ginger.
Pour the glaze over the salmon and simmer for 2-3 minutes until bubbly.
Add cornstarch slurry and cook for 1 minute until the glaze thickens.
Carefully transfer to a serving dish, garnish with sesame seeds and green onions, and serve.
Notes
For extra flavor, marinate the salmon in the glaze for 10-15 minutes before cooking.
Serve with steamed vegetables or rice for a complete meal.
Glaze should be thick enough to coat the salmon, not runny;
adjust cornstarch as needed.
Can be made gluten-free by using tamari instead of soy sauce.
