A rich, creamy, and dairy-free chocolate mousse made with silken tofu, cocoa powder, and natural sweeteners. This easy, no-bake dessert is high in protein, perfect for post-workout treats or a healthy indulgence. Silky and indulgent with a deep chocolate flavor.

  • Total Time: 15
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale

14 oz (400g) silken tofu, chilled
1/4 cup cocoa powder
1/3 cup maple syrup (adjust to taste)
1 tsp pure vanilla extract
2 tbsp almond milk (or other plant-based milk, as needed)
3 tbsp dark chocolate chips (for melted swirl or optional chunks)
Pinch of salt

Instructions

Drain and press the silken tofu gently to remove any excess water.
In a high-speed blender, add the tofu, cocoa powder, maple syrup, vanilla extract, almond milk, and salt.
Blend on high until completely smooth and silky, scraping down the sides if needed.
If using chocolate chips, melt them in the microwave or a double boiler and gently swirl into the mousse base, or fold in chunks for a rustic texture.
Divide the mousse into serving bowls or cups.
Chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour to set and develop flavor.
Serving optional: top with fresh berries, a drizzle of chocolate sauce, or vegan whipped cream.

Notes

For a richer flavor, use 85-90% dark chocolate.
Substitute maple syrup with agave nectar or another natural sweetener of your choice.
Can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
Experiment with toppings like crushed nuts, cacao nibs, or coconut flakes for added texture.
