Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) for heat-treating the flour.
Spread flour evenly on a baking sheet.
Bake for 5 minutes to heat-treat, then let cool completely.
In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
Mix in the cooled heat-treated flour and salt.
Stir in the vanilla extract and milk until fully combined.
Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
Chill the dough in the refrigerator for 20-30 minutes before serving or shaping into desired portions.
