- 1 to 2 tablespoons freshly ground coffee beans (10 to 15 grams)
- 8 to 10 fluid ounces filtered water
- 1 pinch sea salt, optional
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon, optional
Instructions
- Heat the filtered water to approximately 195 to 205 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Measure 1 to 2 tablespoons of coffee beans.
- Grind the coffee beans to a medium consistency.
- Place a coffee filter inside a pour-over cone, French press, or automatic drip coffee maker.
- Add the ground coffee to the brewing device.
- Pour about 2 ounces of hot water over the coffee grounds.
- Allow the grounds to bloom for 30 seconds.
- Slowly pour the remaining hot water over the grounds in a circular motion.
- Allow the coffee to brew for 3 to 4 minutes.
- Pour the brewed black coffee into a serving mug.
- Add a pinch of sea salt, if desired, to reduce bitterness.
- Sprinkle with ground cinnamon, if desired.
- Stir briefly and serve immediately while hot.
Notes
Use freshly ground coffee beans and filtered water for the cleanest flavor. Enjoy without added cream or sugar to keep the drink low in calories. Caffeine tolerance varies, so adjust serving size and timing as needed.
