Instructions
- Combine shredded cabbage, minced ginger, minced garlic, chopped green onions, and water in a medium bowl.
- Add low-sodium soy sauce and sesame oil to the mixture.
- Stir thoroughly until the filling is evenly combined.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Let the filling sit for 3 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
- Lay one wonton wrapper on a clean, dry work surface in a diamond orientation.
- Place about 1 tablespoon of filling in the center of the wrapper.
- Wet your finger with water and run it along all four edges of the wrapper.
- Fold the bottom corner up and over the filling, pressing gently to seal.
- Fold the left and right corners toward the center, overlapping them slightly.
- Roll the bundle away from you, pressing firmly to create a tight seal.
- Repeat with the remaining wrappers and filling.
- Preheat your air fryer to 375°F for 3 minutes.
- Arrange the wrapped lumpia chips in the air fryer basket in a single layer without overlapping.
- Lightly spray the tops and sides with cooking spray.
- Cook at 375°F for 6 to 8 minutes.
- Shake the basket halfway through cooking for even browning.
- Remove when the wrappers are golden brown and crispy.
- Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate and cool for 2 minutes before serving.
Notes
Squeeze excess moisture from the cabbage before mixing to prevent soggy chips. Do not overfill the wonton wrappers, keep unused wrappers covered with a damp paper towel, and avoid overcrowding the air fryer basket for the crispiest texture.
